His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam watched the final match of the 33rd SEA Games' Polo event. The final match for low goal between the Brunei Darussalam and Thailand took place at VS Sports Club and Siam Polo Park, Samut Prakan, Southern Bangkok. Also present were His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's brothers and daughter: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah as President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah as Team Manager of the Brunei National Polo Team; and Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Ms. Samonjarod Mingkumlerd, Director of the Governor's Office and Spokesperson for the Sports Authority of Thailand, and Doctor Pairoj Boonkongchuen, President of the Thailand Polo Association.
Joining Brunei Darussalam's team were His Majesty's son and daughter: His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen, and Her Royal Highness Princess Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah. In the final match, the national polo team secured the silver medal after a fierce match against Thailand with a score of 7.5 to 0.
His Majesty then presented the championship medals to the winners of the polo (low goal) final match. The gold medal went to host country, Thailand; Brunei Darussalam bagged the silver medal, while Malaysia took the bronze medal. The national team will proceed with the 'high-goal' Polo match on 13th December 2025 at VS Sports Club and Siam Polo Park.
